Control system: The Automated shades are controlled by sun activated sensors creating ideal light levels for the occupant, the sunshade lowers when the sun is shining, and automatically raising the shades when cloudy or overcast, saving on energy and lighting consumption costs, as well as providing natural Daylighting and less need for artificial lighting.

Project Description: A 70,000 square foot Family & Children’s services building in Kingston and Child protection Services agency.
Design Intent: To achieve High Performance Green Building status in LEED Gold Certification status in five key areas:
- Sustainable site development

- Indoor environment air quality
Solution: Our Automated Exterior Sun Control Roller Shades installed throughout the East, West and South façade provided the energy protection and efficiency the architect was looking for. The solar heat gain is stopped before entering the interior space thus creating an ideal comfortable working environment for employees as well as cost savings on the cooling and heating system. It improved indoor air quality while providing daylighting which is beneficial for employee moral and productivity.
